On Thursday at 5:58pm, the Jefferson City Communications Center received a call of a robbery that had just occurred at Check n Go, 1922 Missouri Blvd. When officers arrived, the employees of the business advised that a subject entered the business, displayed a small handgun and demanded money. The employees complied and the subject left with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was hurt in the business and the employees were able to provide a description to authorities.
The robber is described as a black male with light complexion, 508-510, 120-140 pounds, wearing blue jeans, a dark sweatshirt, a red ball cap and a mask pulled over his face. (Photo attached)
A customer entering the business during the robbery caused the suspect to flee the business. The customer gave chase through the shopping center eastward before losing sight of the suspect north of the shopping center. Responding officers canvassed the area but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.
