Ahart nabs 1,000th point in Tuscumbia win

PILOT GROVE, Mo. - Tuscumbia placed four players in double figures as the Lions claimed a 56-43 victory against Prairie Home in the opening round of the Pilot Grove Tournament on Tuesday.

Wyatt Ahart scored his 1,000 career point for Tuscumbia, which plays the winner of Green Ridge and Northwest at 9 p.m. Thursday.

Zane Humpreys scored 15 points, while Nick Grimwood, Orrie Patterson, and Ahart all chipped in 10 points to lead the Lions (3-2).

Cody Simmons scored a game-high 20 points to lead Prarie Home, which will play today at 9 p.m.
