ST. ELIZABETH - Newburg used a strong third quarter Tuesday night en-route to a 75-47 win against St. Elizabeth.
St. Elizabeth had a 25-16 lead after the first quarter and led 34-33 after the first half, but the Tigers outscored the Hornets 25-4 in the third quarter and 17-9 in the final period to pull out the win.
Braden Holtmeyer scored 13 points and Travis Minor added 11 to lead St. Elizabeth (1-4).
Ryan Ward scored a game-high 24 points to pace Newberg.
St. Elizabeth returns to action Friday when the Hornets host Crocker.
