Falcons take fourth at Knob Noster Invitational

KNOB NOSTER, Mo. — Alex Gaydos and John Karsten captured individual wrestling titles Saturday for Blair Oaks at the Knob Noster Invitational.

Gaydos finished 3-0 to take top honors at 132 pounds, while Karsten finished 5-0 to take the top spot at 285.

As a team, the Falcons finished with 132 points to finish fourth.

Plattsburg was first with 177, while Versailles (155) and O’Hara (147) rounded out the top three teams.

London Gaydos (120) and Brad Thomas (152) both finished 3-1 to take third in their respective weights. Finishing fourth with 2-2 records for the Falcons were Riley Boeckman (160) and Jordan Baumhoer (220).

Blair Oaks will wrestle Fatima and Tipton on Tuesday at Tipton.


In the Blair Oaks junior varsity tournament held last week, three Falcons claimed individual tites.

Winning were Joey Conway, Chance Cumpton and Bo Thomas.
