Missouri women beat Oral Roberts

The Missouri women's basketball team cruised to a 86-64 victory against Oral Roberts on Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena.

The Tigers hit 17 3-pointers in the win over the Golden Eagles and improved to 8-1 on the year.

Morgan Eye scored a game-high 17 points, while Maddie and Morgan Stock combined for 30 points to help lead MU. Bri Kulas chipped in 13 points for the Tigers, who shot just over 44 percent from behind the arc.

Oral Roberts (1-6) tied the game at 18 with 9:59 left in the first half, but MU went on a 14-0 run and had a 43-28 going into the second half.

The Tigers' efficient outside attack opened things up in the paint for Kulas in the second half. The senior forward converted three layups early, pushing MU's lead to 19 with just over 15 minutes remaining and the Tigers didn't look back from there.

MU was 31-of-66 (47 percent) from the field and 17-of-38 (44.7 percent) from long range. Oral Roberts was 21-of-54 (38.9 percent) from the field and just 4-of-21(19 percent) from the 3-point line.

Eye was 5-of-10 from behind the arc. The junior needs 24 more treys to become the Tigers' all-time leader in 3-point makes.

The Tigers return to action when they host Bradley at 2 p.m. Sunday.
