Girls Basketball: Lady Jays down Rolla

ROLLA - The Jefferson City Lady Jays improved to 2-1 on the season by dropping Rolla 42-31 on Monday.

Kezia Martin and Megan Foster dropped in 14 points apiece to pace the Lady Jays.

Jefferson City held a slim 8-6 lead after one quarter and each team scored seven points in the second quarter. The Lady Jays' lead was 27-21 after three periods.

The Lady Jays return to action Thursday when they host Kickapoo.

In Monday's JV game, Rolla posted a 37-35 victory.

Alexis Wilbers led Jefferson City with 13 points.

Jefferson City won Monday's freshman game 53-21.

Lexi Haug had 19 for the Lady Jays and Sydney Crockett had 16.
