ROLLA, Mo. - The Rolla Lady Bulldogs pushed across the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning and edged Helias 8-7 on Thursday night.
Lauren Morrow had two hits, including a home run to lead off the game, and scored two runs for the Lady Crusaders. Julie Harris chipped in with two hits and two runs scored for Helias.
Lindsey Steinbeck took the loss in the circle, tossing a complete game. She gave up just four earned runs on nine hits and four walks while striking out two.
Helias (0-1) will return to action Tuesday at home against Battle.
In Thursday's JV game, Helias posted a 3-0 win.
