Wife to divorce Missouri man charged in girl's killing

LOCKWOOD, Mo. (AP) — The wife of a man charged in a southwest Missouri's child's abduction, sexually assaulting and killing says a breakup is imminent.

Thirty-four-year-old Bobby D. Bourne Jr. of Lockwood is being arraigned Monday in the killing of 12-year-old Adriaunna Horton. His attorney didn't immediately return a phone call.

The Joplin Globe (http://is.gd/GX1Kjl) reports that his wife, Brandy Bourne, says that her husband had known the slain girl's family for two or three years. She says the girl's father, James Horton, began working with her husband on home repair jobs in March 2012. The men's children were friends.

She says the families stopped spending time together after her husband began suspecting that James Horton had stolen some of his tools. Now, she says, a divorce is "coming soon."
