Vienna man charged after meth lab bust

A Vienna man faces a felony drug charge after law enforcement officers raided an Osage County home on Thursday afternoon.

Officers, SWAT team members and investigators from the county sheriff's department, Missouri Highway Patrol and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group executed a search warrant around 12:40 p.m. at 2175 County Road 634, northeast of Freeburg.

During the search, investigators claim, they located a suspected methamphetamine lab and narcotics. Deputies arrested three area residents, including Clifford W. Hayes, 50, of Vienna.

On Friday, the Osage County prosecutor charged Hayes with intent to distribute, deliver, manufacture or produce a controlled substance. Hayes was held in the county jail with bond set at $20,000.
