ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) - Sylvia Fowles scored 14 points to lead Chicago to an 82-64 win over the New York Liberty on Friday night, clinching the Sky's first playoff berth in the team's eight-year history.
The Sky (19-8) have won four straight and six of seven, locking up their first winning record with a victory Tuesday at Washington. Chicago leads the Eastern Conference by 3 1/2 games over Atlanta, which lost 74-64 to Washington.
Chicago led 38-33 at halftime and outscored New York 29-12 in the third quarter to take control.
Elena Delle Donne and Swin Cash scored 11 apiece for the Sky, who swept the five-game season series from the Liberty.
Plenette Pierson led New York (10-16) with a season-high 25. The Liberty have lost three straight to fall two games behind Washington for the final playoff spot in the East.
MYSTICS 74, DREAM 64
WASHINGTON (AP) - Monique Currie scored 15 points and Kia Vaughn had 12 points and 10 rebounds to help Washington end an eight-game losing streak against Atlanta.
Ivory Latta had 14 points for the Mystics (13-15), who opened the fourth quarter with a 14-1 run.
Washington had lost two consecutive games overall and dropped its previous three games to the Dream this season by an average of 13 points.
The Dream (14-10) lost their eighth straight road game despite Angel McCoughtry's 17 points.
STORM 81, MERCURY 73
PHOENIX (AP) - Tameka Johnson had 23 points and three assists to lead Seattle past Phoenix.
Tina Thompson added 18 points and seven rebounds for the Storm (13-13), who have won all four meetings with the Mercury (14-13) this season and have won four of their past five overall.
Candice Dupree had 17 points while Diana Taurasi added 16 points and seven assists for the Mercury, who lost for just the second time in six games under interim head coach Russ Pennell.
No. 1 draft pick Brittney Griner had 12 points and five rebounds for the Mercury.
SHOCK 73, SILVER STARS 67
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Liz Cambage had 20 points and eight rebounds and Glory Johnson added 15 points to lift Tulsa to victory over San Antonio.
Candace Wiggins added 16 points for the Shock, including two key free throws with 7.2 seconds to go that sealed the win.
The Shock (9-18) matched the team's highest victory total in their four seasons in Tulsa.
Shameka Christon scored 18 points off the bench to lead the Silver Stars (9-17), who are 1-6 in their past seven road games and 3-11 on the year outside Texas.
