NEW YORK (AP) - Miguel Cabrera homered against the Yankees again and had three hits while playing on a bandaged leg and Torii Hunter connected and drove in four runs Saturday, leading the Detroit Tigers over New York 9-3.
Anibal Sanchez (10-7) tossed seven easy innings against a Yankees lineup that was without Alex Rodriguez. Manager Joe Girardi said he was giving the third baseman a day off after he struck out three times in his season debut in the Bronx.
Austin Jackson followed a four-hit, three-double night Friday with a homer and triple against the organization that drafted him. Don Kelly had a two-run single off Phil Hughes (4-11) as the AL Central leaders win for the 17th time in 21 games.
Cabrera hit his 35th home run. He had big, square Band-Aid on his left shin after fouling two balls off himself Friday night.
BLUE JAYS 5, ATHLETICS 4
TORONTO (AP) - Josh Reddick hit two home runs, a day after connecting three times for Oakland, but the Toronto Blue Jays got shots from Jose Bautista and Jose Reyes to beat the Athletics.
Reddick had homered only five times this season before launching a trio of long balls Friday night in a 14-6 romp. He tied the major league record for homers over two games.
Reddick hit a two-run drive off Mark Buehrle (8-7) in the second inning and a leadoff home run in the ninth against Casey Janssen, who got his 21st save.
The A's lost for the seventh time in nine games.
Buehrle (8-7) won his third straight decision. He allowed three runs and seven hits in 5 1-3 innings.
Sonny Gray (0-1) went six innings in his first major league start.
WHITE SOX 5, TWINS 4
CHICAGO (AP) - Conor Gillaspie lined a go-ahead single in the sixth inning and the Chicago White Sox rallied past Minnesota.
Jordan Danks homered and rookie Andre Rienzo pitched 5 1-3 innings in his home debut as the White Sox snapped a five-game losing streak against the Twins.
Justin Morneau and Oswaldo Arcia homered for the Twins.
David Purcey (1-1) struck out two in an inning for the win. Addison Reed earned his 28th save in 33 chances.
Mike Pelfrey (4-10) allowed five runs in five-plus innings.
ANGELS 7, INDIANS 2
CLEVELAND (AP) - C.J. Wilson won his fourth consecutive decision and Los Angeles sent Cleveland to its sixth straight loss.
Wilson (12-6) allowed two runs in 5 1-3 innings for his eighth win in his last 11 decisions. The left-hander hasn't lost since July 5.
Ubaldo Jimenez (8-7) allowed three runs in 6 1-3 innings for the reeling Indians, who committed a season-high four errors and trail Detroit by eight games in the American League Central. Cleveland began its seven-game homestand three games out of first, but was swept in four games by the Tigers and has dropped the first two to the Angels, who came into town with a four-game losing streak.
Mike Trout reached base for a 40th consecutive game.
RANGERS 5, ASTROS 4
HOUSTON (AP) - Alex Rios starred in his Texas debut, tying the game with an RBI triple in the eighth inning and scoring the go-ahead run in a comeback victory over Houston.
Elvis Andrus added a two-run homer as the Rangers extended their winning streak to a season-high six games.
Rios, who was acquired from the Chicago White Sox on Friday, tripled off reliever Lucas Harrell (5-13) in the eighth inning to tie it after a double by A.J. Pierzynski. Rios then slid feet first into home on a ball hit by Mitch Moreland, scoring when catcher Jason Castro dropped the ball for an error to put Texas up 5-4.
Jason Frasor (3-2) allowed one run in the seventh for the win.
RED SOX 5, ROYALS 3
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jacoby Ellsbury matched a career high with four hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead Boston over Kansas City.
Ellsbury had RBI-doubles in the fourth and sixth innings and also stole his major league-leading 42nd base.
Red Sox starter Felix Doubront gave up three runs on six hits and four walks in four-plus innings
He was replaced by Brandon Workman (3-1), who picked up his second victory of the week with 1 1-3 scoreless innings. Koji Uehara pitched a flawless ninth to collect his 12th save in 15 chances.
Royals right-hander Jeremy Guthrie (12-8), who had won his previous four starts, threw a season-high 123 pitches in seven innings, allowing five runs on 10 hits and a walk.

BREWERS 10, MARINERS 0
SEATTLE (AP) - Scooter Gennett capped a six-run seventh inning with a three-run homer off the glove of right fielder Michael Morse to lead Milwaukee to victory on a night Seattle honored former star Ken Griffey Jr..
Griffey was inducted to the team Hall of Fame before the game, then saw his old club give up two big innings to the Brewers. The first three Brewers reached in the seventh without the ball leaving the infield, but Gennett's homer was the big blow. The Brewers added four more in the ninth against Seattle's bullpen.
Tom Gorzelanny had his best performance of the season for the Brewers. Making his seventh start after beginning the season in the bullpen, Gorzelanny (3-4) gave up just three hits in seven innings.
Seattle starter Hisashi Iwakuma (10-6) matched Gorzelanny for the first six innings, but quickly fell apart in the seventh.
DODGERS 1, RAYS 0
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Zack Greinke scattered six hits through 6 1-3 innings, Adrian Gonzalez homered and Los Angeles beat Tampa Bay despite Evan Longoria's hidden ball trick.
Skip Schumaker added four hits for the NL West leaders. Tampa Bay lost its fourth straight, matching their longest skid this year.
Most everything went well for the Dodgers, except when Tampa Bay got tricky. Longoria tagged out an unsuspecting Juan Uribe when he lifted his foot off third base while chatting with coach Tim Wallach in the fourth inning.
The rarely seen play occurred after A.J. Ellis hit a bases-loaded sacrifice fly, with all three runners moving up.
First baseman James Loney wound up with the ball behind the mound. He flipped it to shortstop Yunel Escobar, who then quickly tossed the ball to Longoria while no one seemed to be looking. Longoria stood behind Uribe and waited to trap him.
Greinke (10-3) struck out seven and walked one. Roberto Hernandez (6-12) gave up five runs and eight hits in four innings.
GIANTS 3, ORIOLES 2
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Hunter Pence hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the sixth inning as San Francisco's stagnant lineup finally got to Baltimore starter Wei-Yin Chen.
Chris Davis hit his majors-leading 42nd home run for the Orioles leading off the eighth against Santiago Casilla, then grounded out against closer Sergio Romo to end it with a runner on first.
Nick Markakis added three hits, but Baltimore had its three-game winning streak.
Guillermo Moscoso (1-0) pitched two scoreless innings and Romo earned his 27th save in 31 chances. Chen (6-5) took the loss.
