Man sentenced after drug investigation

A Jefferson City man was sentenced to 120-day shock detention in connection with a drug investigation in Osage County.

Adam Duppong, 33, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

In June, the Osage County Sheriff's Department and Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group conducted an investigation at a home in the 1100 block of Adams Street in Linn.

During that investigation, authorities found several baggies containing suspected crystal methamphetamine that appeared to be packaged for sale.

They also found $1,900 in cash, three guns and suspected drug paraphernalia.
