ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) - St. Joseph police are investigating the death of an 8-month-old baby who drowned in a bathtub.
The St. Joseph News-Press (http://bit.ly/11D2qGH) reports police were called to a home around 5 p.m. Friday on a report that a baby had been found in a tub.
Police Sgt. Steve Smith says there were two adults at the home at the time of the drowning, and that the case has been turned over to family crimes detectives.
Detective Dan Sweiger says it's too early to know whether the baby died as the result of a criminal situation or if it was an accident.
