BURLINGTON, Iowa - The Jefferson City Lady Jays defeated Des Moines Valley 1-0 in a Bracket C match at the Tournament of Champions.
Natalie Vance tallied the goal for the Lady Jays, with an assist from Brianna Lock. Becca Sturgess got the shutout in goal.
The Lady Jays finished 2-1 in the tournament. On Friday, Jefferson City fell 3-2 to eventual bracket champion Lockport, Ill., then blanked Peoria (Ill.) Christian 8-0.
Jefferson City (10-3-1) is back in action Monday at Rolla.
