Jays blank Waynesville

WAYNESVILLE - The Jefferson City Jays dropped just a combined 11 games Thursday in taking a 9-0 decision from the Waynesville Tigers.

Three Jays - David Steinmeyer, Spencer Bone and Isaac Roling - won their singles matches by 8-0 scores. Sam Johnson was an 8-1 winner, while David Clausen and Rex Michitsch were victors by 8-3 scores.

Johnson and Clausen teamed to win their doubles match 8-0. Winning by 8-2 counts were the teams of Roling and Bone, as well as Steinmeyer and Dalton Doyle.

Jefferson City (7-4) will play today and Saturday at the Edwardsville (Ill.) Invitational.
