Helias third, Jays fourth in golf quad

COLUMBIA — The Helias Crusaders were third and the Jefferson City Jays were fourth in a quadrangular Thursday at the Club at Old Hawthorne.

Rock Bridge won the meet with a total of 307, followed by Hickman (333), Helias (347) and Jefferson City (353).

Rock Bridge’s Matt Echelmeier was the medalist, as he fired a 71.

Brandon Tomblinson led the way for Helias with an 82. Also for the Crusaders, Jack Blaise had an 86, Austin Smith had an 87 and Nick Rehagen had a 92.

Gabe Trowbridge was the top finisher for Jefferson City, as he posted an 82. Andrew Hanson added an 87 for the Jays, while David Anderson and Brennen Horn had a 92.

Both teams will play Monday in districts, as Helias is at Moberly and Jefferson City is at Willard.
