Accident injures Jefferson City woman

A Jefferson City woman was treated for minor injuries after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in the Capital City.

Police reports show Brandon Husted, 16, Jefferson City, was going west on U.S. 54 at Jefferson Street, at 7:33 a.m., when he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Deborah Huff, 46, Jefferson City.

The driving lane was closed for a short period of time while the accident scene was cleared.

Huff was treated at a local hospital.

Husted and a passenger in Huff's vehicle, Jessica King, 32, Jefferson City, had no reported injuries.

All involved in the accident were wearing seat belts.
