Jays second at meet in Ladue

The Jefferson City Jays were edged by the slightest of margins Saturday.

The Jays took second, falling to Lafayette by 1.5 points at Ladue.

Lafatyette finished with 118 ahead of Jefferson City’s 116.5. Webster Groves was a distant third with 62.50.

Mervyn John won two events for the Jays. He took home the title in the triple jump and the 300-meter hurdles.
