MEXICO, Mo. - It was close until the end.
The Helias Lady Crusaders edged Hannibal for the team title at the Mexico meet on Saturday.
Helias finished with 149 points. Hannibal had 145 while Kirksville was third with 109.
Bre Zanders was a double-winner for Helias in the discus and shot put.
The Helias boys finished in fifth place with 83.5 points. Kirksville won the event with 131.5 points. Centralia was second at 102.5 while Mexico was third with 100.
Griff McCurren and Will Fife were double winner for Helias. McCurren won the 200- and 400-meter runs. Fife won the shot put and discus.
