"The Power of Possibilities: In the Company of My Sisters" women's conference will be hosted today and Saturday in Jefferson City by Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, 529 Lafayette St.
The Rev. Barbara Essex, a nationally-acclaimed author, preacher and professor, will be the guest speaker.
The Rev. Cassandra Gould, pastor at Quinn Chapel is the conference founder and host.
Today's activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. with Bible study led by Essex, followed by 7:30 p.m. worship, at the church.
Registration and continental breakfast Saturday will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hawthorn Bank Community Room, 3600 Amazonas Drive. The conference, including lunch, will continue 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Cost is $30 and includes materials and Saturday's meal.
