Hospital looking for teen volunteers

Capital Region Medical Center is looking for teenagers who would like to participate in its summer Volunteen Program.

Applicants must be 14 years old by June 3. Volunteens will be required to attend one orientation session at the hospital, 1125 Madison St., in the first floor conference room from 6-7:30 p.m. May 6 or from 6-7:30 p.m. May 7.

The program is limited to 50 teens.

Those interested in volunteering should call 632-5032 or e-mail [email protected] no later than May 3 to reserve a place for one of the two orientations. Teens who show up without a reservation will be placed on a waiting list.

Prior to the orientation, those interested can visit www.crmc.org, print out the application found under the "news" tab, fill it out and bring it with them to the orientation. Those younger than 18 need to have a parent sign the form to give consent to participation in this program. New volunteers at Capital Region, will also need to bring an updated immunization record.
