Man arrested after accident

An Eldon man was injured in a one-car accident at 12:05 a.m. Friday on Red Arrow Road, south of Button Wood Road, in Morgan County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 1990 Oldsmobile, driven southbound by Phillip W. Reed, 61, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole.

Reed was taken to St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.

He was not wearing a seat belt.

The patrol reports Reed was arrested for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, no seat belt and operating a motor vehicle without obtaining a new license after being revoked or suspended.

A Versailles teen was injured in a one-car accident at 6:16 p.m. Thursday on Indigo Road, east of Missouri 5, in Morgan County.

The patrol reported a 1999 Dodge, driven westbound by Steven R. Stafford, 16, went off the right side of the road, overcorrected and went off the left side of the road. The vehicle overcorrected again and went off the right side of the road, overturned and caught fire.

Stafford was taken to St. Mary's Health Center.
