Eugene school board reorganizes after election

EUGENE, Mo. - Curt Brumley and Tracy Wunderlich were sworn in to the Cole County R-5 Board of Education at its April meeting.

Nathan Lepper was elected president; Cindy Darnel will serve as vice president; and Brumley was elected treasurer.

The board approved the purchase of two smartboards with projectors and the cost for additional training for administrators regarding a new teacher evaluation model.

The health insurance contribution was raised from $340 to $360 per month, recommended by the administration and approved by the board.

In other business, the board:

• Accepted resignation letters from high school music teacher Arielle Wheeler, preschool aide Monica Ponder and head baseball coach Heath Lepper.

• Approved the audit bid from Walla, Mueller and Albertson for the next three years.

• Received reports from the building, grounds and facilities and the curriculum and instruction committees.

The board will meet next at 6 p.m. May 15.
