Saturday, April 13, 2013
Cole County Fire Protection District crews rescued a woman who had driven into high water Thursday afternoon.
According to fire district reports, the woman had driven about 4:30 p.m. Thursday into back water from the Moreau River. The water had gone over the 5600 block of Loesch Road.
She got into a low spot of the road, and the car stalled.
She thought she could drive through the water, but couldn’t go forward or backward.
Fire crews took a boat out to the car and brought the woman back over to dry ground without anyone getting hurt.
