Columbia College splits softball twinbill

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Columbia College split a doubleheader with Williams Baptist (Ark.) on Saturday, falling 8-6 in the opener before taking the nightcap 5-3.

Kristin Eiken (Blair Oaks High School) smacked a solo home run for the Cougars in the opening game.

Tiffany Urwiler (School of the Osage) picked up the victory for Columbia College in the second game, allowing three runs on eight hits in a complete-game effort.

Columbia College sits at 13-14 on the season.
