WASHINGTON, Mo. - Blair Oaks took advantage of its first doubleheader of the season.
The Falcons opened the day with a 3-2 win over St. Clair before toppling host St. Francis Borgia 9-4 in the nightcap Saturday.
Hayden Haney brought in the game-winning run in the opener with a sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning. The Falcons other two runs earlier in the game came on a groundout and passed ball.
Haney went 3-for-4 while Kyler Maxey collected the only other Blair Oaks hits, going 2-for-3.
Ryan Voss picked up the win, allowing two runs (both unearned) on three hits with one strikeout in six innings. Ryan Abbott worked a perfect seventh for the save.
Blair Oaks jumped out to an 8-0 lead after two innings and hung on to beat St. Francis Borgia 9-4 in the nightcap.
Blair Oaks scored three times in the first innings and added five runs in the second.
Abbott went 3-for-4, Maxey went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Dustin Blomberg with 2-for-4 with an RBI, as Blair Oaks outhit Borgia 13-3.
Jacob Koelling picked up the win, allowing four unearned runs on three hits in a complete-game effort. The senior right-hander struck out 10.
Blair Oaks (6-3) hosts Warsaw on Tuesday, hoping to extend its four-game winning streak.
