Prep Baseball: Russellville 4, Lutheran 2

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - The Russellville Indians scored all of their runs in the top of the first and went on to a 4-2 win Friday against Lutheran: St. Peters in the opening round of the Waynesville Tournament.

The Indians rode the pitching and hitting of Clayton Meyer to the victory.

On the mound, Meyer got the win by pitching the first 5 2/3 innings. He gave up both runs while scattering five hit and struck out two. Chandler Wolf pitched the final 1 1/3 innings to get the save, striking out three.

At the plate, Meyer had two hits and one RBI.

Also for the Indians, Clayton Harrison had one hit and one RBI and Chase Smith rapped out two hits.

Russellville (7-3) continues play Saturday in the event with games against Waynesville and Oran
