Jays freshmen sweep

The Jefferson City freshman team swept a doubleheader with Blair Oaks on Tuesday.

The Jays won the first game 5-4. Blaine Meyer was the winning pitcher. Meyer and Gerrit Shirts had two hits each for the Jays.

Jefferson City won the second game 5-2. Logan Schmitz picked up the win. Kyle Irwin and Garrett Durbin had two hits for the Jays (9-1), who play again Saturday at C.B.C.
