Prep Baseball: Russellville splits

CLEVER, Mo. - The Russellville Indians split a pair of games Saturday afternoon.

The Indians fell to Clever 4-2 in the opener.

Clayton Meyer took the loss. He went six innings, allowed four runs and six hits while striking out two.

Meyer went 3-for-4 and scored two runs. Chase Smith went 2-for-4 and Chandler Wolf went 3-for-4.

The Indians picked up a 5-2 victory against Strafford in the second inning. Caleb Libbert threw five innings. He allowed two runs and six hits while striking out five.

Wolf got the save as he struck out six in two innings. Libbert went 2-for-3 while Clayton Thompson drove in two runs.

Russellville (5-2) plays again Monday at Linn
