The two incumbents in the Blair Oaks School board race won re-election to their seats Tuesday.

Greg Russell and John Weber received 546 votes and 507 votes, respectfully.

Both men will serve three-year terms.

"I'm grateful for the community's support," Russell said. "I will do my best to continue to do what's right for our children and the Blair Oaks schools. I will try to exercise common sense and do what any reasonable person would do."

"I'm extremely happy and excited that Greg also won," Weber said. "This is his third or fourth term, and I'm excited for both of us.

"We are a lot alike where we want to put the district needs and the needs of the kids first. We want to allow Dr. (Jim) Jones to run the district and then do the oversight to make sure things are done properly.

"My youngest child will start in the district in 2014, and I literally will be committed for another 13-plus years of being involved in the district. I look forward to serving and helping as much as I can."

Challengers Brian Rackers and Dawn Brooks received 352 and 271 votes, respectively.
