Interim public works director named

Matt Morasch has been named interim public works director following the recent resignation of Director Roger Schwartze.
Matt Morasch has 20 years of experience in civil engineering, with the last 11 years being with Jefferson City. Morasch has held three different positions with the city, the most recent being city engineer. He has also been deputy director of community development for public works and the design supervisor for engineering.
“Matt’s experience and education continue to serve our city well, and we are happy to have him assisting in this capacity,” said City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus.
