Your Opinion: Downward path to ruination

Dear Editor:

Just a few short years ago, governmental bodies and members of society were clamoring for more aid and assistance from the federal government. Even organizations already established asked for more money as well as newly formed groups that should have come from those requesting same. This is remembered quite well.

It has developed that government is telling us how to live our lives, and more money (that belongs to the taxpayers by the way) is being sent to other countries overseas. Charity should be done here at home. Where does our help come from? Not from our own government bodies as they are quite brazen in spending our hard-earned finances on their traveling expenses here and abroad and our money keeps flying out the government offices hand over fist and it never seems to let up for them. Legislators have entered every phase of our existence. We have been invaded.

The enemy has been discovered and it is us as we allowed this to happen. The yelling and backtracking for government officials to get off our backs has been going on for awhile now.

We can't have it both ways.

As for the court systems, they are defeating us as well, especially the Supreme Court along with the ACLU that appears to be reaping the benefits of the court system's actions.

We reap what we sow.

I ask you, are our government groups becoming more worthless as time goes by or what?

Our country appears to be so mixed up with priorities dictated by non-qualified people serving in governing positions that benefit most notable themselves it is no wonder our once great country is headed in a downward path to ruination. Bad administration policies are at work here. Here in our community qualified people, those who should serve, want no part of the political system.

The grim reaper is taking its toll on the citizens here in our community and it's affecting many of us who can't get out of our homes because of the snow/sleet that has cascaded down upon us for three weeks. In my case, I can neither deliver mail under my own steering power or even make a drop in my mailbox.
