Lady Jays top Moberly 2-1

MOBERLY — The Jefferson City Lady Jays converted on all four of their penalty kicks in overtime Monday night and topped the Moberly Lady Spartans 2-1.

Tayler LePage scored for the Lady Jays in regulation, assisted by Kaley Ruff. Scoring for the Lady Jays in the penalty-kick round were Sarah Luebbert, Bailey Hall, Courtney Betts and Ruff. Becca Sturgess had a save in the PK round for Jefferson City.

The Lady Jays (2-1) will open their home schedule tonight against Lebanon. The junior varsity game will start at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest around 6:45 p.m.

In Monday’s JV game, Jefferson City blanked Moberly 7-0.
