Ms Carroll needs more info? i attended an administrative meeting, which she chaired, and Mr Gaskin gave a 20 minute talk about the pros and cons of conference and convention centers -- he did not take sides - and offered to help the city. He provided each council person with a 42-page packet. If she had either paid attention at the meeting or read the material afterwards she would haver lots of information. One major item in the packet -- the Orlando area convention center needs about $11 million in FY2011 in tax money to break even. His packet includes info about which capitol cities do and do not have conference centers, convention centers, major interstate access, etc.
