Dooms Blair Oaks to 31-19 loss

CALIFORNIA, Mo. — The California Pintos used a stellar first half to jump out to a big lead, then held off a furious Blair Oaks rally to capture a 31-19 win Friday night.
The battle between two state-ranked teams eventually lived up to the hype, but the Pintos almost ran away with it thanks to some stout first-half defense.
California, ranked 10th in Class 3, held Blair Oaks to just 34 yards in the first half while racking up 257 of its own. The Pintos held a whopping edge of 14-0 in first downs.
