Fire Department looks at future maintenance

The Jefferson City Fire Department has listed some future improvements needed, once several ongoing projects are finished.

At the Public Safety Committee meeting Thursday, Fire Chief Bob Rennick presented a list of completed, current and future department improvements. The department currently is working on getting new air packs, bunker gear and portable radios, which were made possible through a recently approved $815,000 supplemental appropriation. They also are working on the design and specifications for the station No. 3 replacement.

Some future projects listed by Rennick include brick wall repair at two stations, driveway repair at two stations and plumbing repairs at all stations.
