The motto of the Mid Mo Old Car Club is “Push ’em, pull ’em or drag ’em, but bring them.” The club wants to invite all local old car owners to bring their old cars, regardless of condition, to the 42nd Annual Round-Up and Show in Jefferson City on Saturday.

This show is to be held in conjunction with the Old Munichburg Oktoberfest at the intersection of Broadway and Dunklin streets.

Registration is from 8 to 11 a.m. and drive-through judging is at 11 a.m.

The show is free to the public with a $12 registration fee for cars.

The first 75 cars entered will receive a door prize and all entrants will have a chance to win more than $500 worth of door prizes to be awarded at the awards ceremony at 3 p.m.

Three trophies will be awarded in each of 16 classes plus special awards for Peoples Choice, Roughest Vehicle, Ladies Choice, Diamond in the Rough and Best of Show.

This year, to encourage people to bring out their older cars, the club is offering free entry and special parking for all Model A Fords and other cars built in 1945 and before. These cars need not be in show condition to be eligible to win all the special awards and door prizes.

If you are interested in old cars, the club would be happy to have you as a member. Membership includes a monthly newsletter with their events calendar and many other benefits for $20 a year for the whole family. Contestants can sign up at the registration table.
