Jefferson City Police officers and emergency crews survey the scene of a one-vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of Dunklin and Broadway early Wednesday evening. The male driver of the truck had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency crews and was transported to Capital Region Medical Center.

A Jefferson City man was hurt Wednesday evening when his pickup truck ran off a city street and tipped over.

Police report Philip M. Alexander, 34, suffered minor injuries in the crash, which occurred at 7:07 p.m. in the 300 block of West Dunklin Street.

Alexander was driving the truck when it ran off the right side of the roadway and struck the guide wire on a utility pole, which caused the vehicle to roll onto the driver's side. He was wearing his seatbelt.

Police determined Alexander may have suffered from a seizure which caused him to lose control of his truck. He was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
