Police search for stolen inflatable rhino in St. Charles Co.

ST. PETERS, Mo. (AP) — Police in the St. Charles County town of St. Peters are searching for a stolen item that’s hard to hide — a 25-foot-long, 12-foot-tall inflatable rhino.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/UPtwWD ) reports that the rhino was used as an advertisement to attract customers to Michael’s Flooring Outlet and stood along Interstate 70. An employee discovered the rhino was missing Monday night.

The rhino is worth about $3,500, so stealing it would be a felony.

"Hey, Chuck!, we have $3,500 in the budget for marketing. How should we spend it?"
"Uhhhhhh, I KNOW!!! How 'bout a giant inflatable rhino!!!"
"That's why I hired you Chuck, always thinking outside the box."

Shhhh. I am holding it for ransom. Send $3,500 in unmarked bills to my secret post office box number and I will return the rhino. After I get my money, you will find the rhino on the front steps of the capitol.
