The Jefferson City Public Schools’ Foundation invites supporters to attend their 2012 Annual Gala, scheduled for Sept. 25 at Capitol Plaza Hotel.
Entitled, “Building Character and Community ... One Child at a Time,” the reception starts at 6 p.m., with dinner and a program to follow at 6:45 p.m.
The 5th annual event is expected to raise $20,000 for the schools, funding that will be used to provide grants to teachers, primarily for character education, and underwrite the expense of an additional pre-kindergarten classroom — with the assistance of Scholastic and the Rotary West Club.
This year six people will be inducted into the Hall of Leaders; Two will be honored as outstanding ....
