Lincoln faces top-ranked Pittsburg State tonight

Update: Pittsburg State downed Lincoln 59-17 on Saturday night.


It’s been an uphill climb for the Lincoln football team in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association. Well, here comes Mount Everest.

That would be the Pittsburg (Kan.) State Gorillas, the defending NCAA Division II national champions and currently the No. 1 team in the nation.

The Blue Tigers (0-3, 0-3 MIAA) travel to the west to take on the Gorillas (3-0, 3-0 MIAA) at 7 p.m. today in what appears on paper to be a lopsided matchup.
