LU gets more than $2.4 million in state, federal grants

Lincoln University will be getting more than $2.4 million in grants over the next few years.

Gov. Jay Nixon said Thursday LU will get a $124,115 for nursing school improvements. And U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan this week announced a five-year, $2,289,891 grant for Lincoln that’s part of a nationwide, $228 million award to 97 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
