Helias hands Fatima 3-0 defeat in soccer

Understandably, most people get caught up watching the scoreboard.

On the other hand, coaches see the little things that turn into the numbers on the board.

For Helias soccer coach Chuck Register, it was seeing what had been worked on in practice carry over to the game.

“There was a time in the second half where we had six one-touch passes moving the ball from the back to the middle to the front,” he said after Helias’ 3-0 win Thursday night over the Fatima Comets at the 179 Soccer Park.

“We put a lot of things together. The best thing tonight was our touches, they put us in the right positions and it looks like that’s coming around. When we rotate, move the ball, we look like a pretty good team.”

While the Crusaders liked the speed with which they played Thursday, the Comets didn’t.
