LOS ANGELES (AP) - Candace Parker had 26 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists and Los Angeles earned a 101-76 victory over Phoenix on Tuesday night.

The Sparks (23-10) secured second place in the Western Conference to ensure that they will open the first round of the playoffs at home, where they have won nine straight and are 15-1 this season.

Los Angeles concludes the regular season Thursday against first-place Minnesota.

Parker had a double-double by the third quarter and had four blocks. Alana Beard scored 22 points, one shy of her season high, with six steals and Kristi Toliver added 17 points.

DeWanna Bonner had 23 points for the Mercury (7-25), who lost their fifth consecutive game.

STORM 75, SKY 60

SEATTLE (AP) - Seattle's Tina Thompson scored 10 points to become the first WNBA player to reach 7,000 for her career.

Ann Wauters scored 16 points, Katie Smith added 13 and Ewelina Kobryn had 12 for Seattle (14-18).

The Storm, who already have clinched a ninth consecutive playoff berth, snapped a four-game losing streak.

Epiphanny Prince had 21 points and Shay Murphy 12 to lead Chicago (13-19), which remained one game behind New York for the fourth and final Eastern Conference playoff berth.

SILVER STARS 77, LIBERTY 66

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Danielle Robinson had 21 points to lead San Antonio.

Shameka Christon added 17 points and Becky Hammon 12 for playoff-bound San Antonio (20-12).

Cappie Pondexter scored 23 points to lead New York (14-18), while Essence Carson had 11 and Kara Braxton 10. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Liberty.
