Jays, Falcons climb in poll

The Jefferson City Jays and Blair Oaks Falcons climbed to the No. 2 spot in their respective classes in the latest high school rankings released this morning.

The Jays (4-0) moved up three positions to the runner-up slot in the Class 6 rankings of 14 media members from around the state. C.B.C. remains the No. 1 team in Class 6.

The Falcons (4-0) received one first-place vote and is second behind Lafayette County in the Class 2 rankings. Blair Oaks was No. 4 last week.

Three other area teams are in the top 10 of their classes.
