Big day for Jefferson City's cross country teams

Jays second, Lady Jays third

ST. LOUIS - It was a pretty good showing for Jefferson City.

The Jays took second and the Lady Jays took third in the Paul Enke Invitational on Saturday.

The Jays' 83 points only trailed Lafayette's 74. Caleb Ruth led the way for Jefferson City with an eighth-place finish (17:33.10), Glenn Teubner took 10th (17:33.80) and Lucas Theroff placed 11th (17:39.30).

The Lady Jays placed third with 95 points, trailing Ste. Genevieve (71) and St. Teresa's Academy (76).

Kaley Ruff led the Lady Jays with a fifth-place finish (20:12.80). Emily Deekend took seventh (20:20.70) and Tori Bonnot placed 12th (20:50.20).
