Jefferson City's defense had its share of trouble bringing down Hazelwood East running backs Friday night. That is, until it mattered the most.
The Jays came up with a pair of stops in the final minutes at Adkins Stadium, and hung on for a 41-32 victory.
"We have to do a much better job," Jefferson City head coach Ted LePage said. "When we wanted to make the stop we made it."
The Jays (No. 5 in Class 6) moved to 4-0 on the season.
