Tax credits panel begins review of 2010 report

In just three months, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon hopes to have an updated, "thorough understanding of how much we're spending on tax credits each year, and what type of return we're getting on that investment."

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, he added reforming the state's 61 current tax credits programs will be a priority issue when the Legislature returns in January.

Earlier in the day, Nixon met briefly with 18 members of his Bipartisan Tax Credits Review Commission as they began the first of several meetings to re-examine and update their 2010 findings.
