Second Inside the Walls Festival features new events

Including Prison Break 5K and Obstacle Course

Under the shadow of the Missouri State Penitentiary, live music will pour out across the Missouri River at the Inside the Walls Festival this weekend.

An unobstructed view of one of the city’s natural beauties and a series of unique ways to interact with one of its oldest historic sites will highlight this second-annual event, hosted by the Jefferson City Convention and Visitors Bureau.

“People say they have driven by the walls, but have never walked inside,” said Ryan Winkler, bureau communications manager. “Now, they can appreciate the monstrosity and the architecture.”
