Jays want fast start Friday night against Hazelwood East

Jefferson City head coach Ted LePage has seen enough of Hazelwood East to know one thing: The Jays need to score early Friday night.
“We’re going to have to get a fast start and get out and make them play our tempo,” LePage said as the Jays welcome the Spartans to Adkins Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Hazelwood East owns shutout wins against McCluer (12-0) and Pattonville (40-0). But it was a 32-22 loss to the top-ranked team in Class 5, Kirkwood, that LePage was ....
